We’ve redesigned both the ChromeID server and card architectures to make ChromeID faster, more flexible, and easier to integrate than ever before. These changes allow us to move from months to weeks when delivering features — without compromising security or scalability.

On the server side, we’ve streamlined our entire API into just eight lightweight entry points. This simpler architecture delivers big benefits: customers can build richer applications faster, our platform integrates seamlessly with enterprise and VAR systems, and customers retain control over their data using their preferred cloud storage — AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or any other provider. For Chrome Roads, it also means a shorter path to market and a stronger security posture, since we hold zero customer data.

On the card itself, we’ve built a modern, layered architecture powered by a micro-sized JavaScript interpreter. Most software updates can now be delivered over the air, reducing the need for firmware updates and simplifying long-term maintenance. This opens up customization, allowing enterprises to create bespoke applications (with optional licensing) without modifying the card’s core firmware. Together, these changes make ChromeID more secure, more customizable, and faster to deploy — putting us in a stronger position to deliver value quickly.

With these innovations, ChromeID is positioned to move faster, integrate better, and deliver more security and flexibility than any identity platform on the market today.
